Funeral services for Pastor James Tyner, 70, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, December 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Mike Gates officiating. Interment will follow in the Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston, Texas Visitation will be held Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Pastor Tyner was born December 26, 1947 in Jacksonville, Florida, to parents, Randolph Tyner and Edna (Lowery) Tyner, and passed away November 25, 2018 in Conroe, Texas. During his life, he preached at God's House Church in Indian Springs for 13 years. James loved the Houston Texans, but most of all, he loved his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Patricia Bennett and Sondra Lusczki.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine Tyner of Livingston; son and daughter-in-law, David and Lori Hill of Livingston; daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Michael Vick of Conroe, Amanda and Rey Gonzalez of Katy, and Audrey and Mike Lawrence of Livingston; grandchildren, David Hill, Roxana Powell, Stacy Marlow, Amanda Reynolds, Shelby Vick, Savannah Vick, Rey Rey Gonzalez, James Martinez, Landon Martinez, Justin Lawrence, David Lawrence, Lilyian Lawrence, and Laila Lawrence; and great-grandchildren, Bella Hill, Diesel Hill, Nova Hill, Jayden Marlow, Jaylynn Harris, and Adalina Vick; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
