Funeral services for Patricia Jan Ellerbe, 67, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Johnny Higdon officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, February 26, 2018, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Ellerbe was born August 26, 1950 in Houston, Texas to parents, Frederick Graham Forshag and Archie Mae (Pratt) Forshag and passed away February 22, 2018 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Jan began her printing career when she went to work at her mother and father's printing company, Conner Printing in her early twenties. What started out as a temporary position turned into a lifelong career. Her hard work and dedication ensured that her customers remained loyal and became friends.

In 1996, she and her mother sold the company to Bill McCroskey. She always joked that she was "traded" to Snappy Printing where she worked until her death.

Jan never saw a need that she did not try to fill. Her generosity of spirit and her willingness to do for others were hallmarks of her life. Whether she was making clothes for Christmas presents to the Salvation Army to cooking for the crew at Snappy Printing, she did so with joy and humility.

She is survived by her husband, J.R. Ellerbe of Livingston, Texas; son, Michael Gustafson of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Max Whitley of Center, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Patrina and Michael Rountree of Livingston, Texas; sister, Judith Pratt of Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Gustafson, Mykala Gustafson, Vaughn Whitley, Jade Whitley, and Amber Gunter; along with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Max Whitley, Vaughn Whitley, Darrell Longino, Bill McCroskey, Bill Schneider, John Tolar.
