Funeral services for Patricia Claire Harrell, 85, of Livingston, Texas will be held Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Rev. John Hirling officiating. Interment will follow at Bluff Creek Cemetery.

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Patricia Claire Harrell. Born on March 7, 1939, to Frank and Lily Marek in Port Lavaca, Texas, she peacefully entered eternal rest on January 14, 2025, at the age of 85. Rooted in strong faith, she was the glue that kept our family and friends connected. She was always ready to listen, lend a helping hand, and make others feel seen and valued. Her warm smile, kind words, selfless service, and belief in the goodness of others created deep connections that will have a lasting impact.

For 61 years, Patty shared a beautiful partnership with Dave. Together, they created a lasting legacy through their two children, Diana and Stephen, four grandchildren, Megan, Reece, Alysse, and Ella, and one great-grandchild, Cayson, who will all carry Nanny's values, wisdom, and compassion forward.

Patty truly embodied the essence of service. She led by example, gave with a generous heart, and lifted others with quiet humility. Her influence can still be felt in our hearts, whether through a thoughtful gesture, a much-needed word of encouragement, or the simple joy of her presence. Patty was many things to many people – a devoted wife, a nurturing mother and Nanny, a friend, and an inspiring educator. But perhaps most remarkably, she was a connector and a servant to others. She was a dedicated and active member of First Presbyterian Church. She leaned on her faith when facing challenges and never hesitated to pray for others and their intentions. Her strong faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her to build meaningful relationships and serve others with joy, generosity, and an open heart.

She is survived by her devoted husband, David C. Harrell, children Diana and Jerry Railey, Stephen and Alyta Harrell, grandchildren Megan and Blaine Medland, Reece and Kylie Railey, Alysse Harrell, Ella Harrell, great-grandchild Cayson Medland, nephews Glen Marek and Greg Marek, and niece, Cindy Johnson along with numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lily Marek, brothers Clarence (Brownie) Ashmore, Francis Marek, and sister Yvonne Amos.

Though we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the incredible impact she has left behind. A celebration of life for Patricia Claire Harrell will be held on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home (406 N Yaupon Avenue) in Livingston, TX with Rev. John Hirling officiating. Interment will follow at Bluff Creek Cemetery. Together, we will honor her kind, gentle spirit and the many ways she touched countless lives.
