Funeral services for Patricia Ann Rhoads, 78, of Moore, Oklahoma, will be held Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Indian Village Presbyterian Church in Livingston, Texas with Debbie Kleinman officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Rhoads was born on April 25, 1940 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Hollis McKee Battise and Elvina (Sylestine) Battise, and passed away September 3, 2018 in Moore, Oklahoma. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Murray Rhoads Sr., son, Jeff Rhoads; step-sister, Jean Langley; granddaughter, Adria Suina; step-mother, Doris Battise; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harvey and Sophie Rhoads Sr., sisters, Gussie Nell Battise, Maude Estelle Battise, and Marilyn Battise; brother, James Battise; step-brother, Elward Celestine; brothers-in-law, Arleigh Rhoads and Harvey Rhoads Jr.; and sisters-in-law, Norma Clark, Leatrice Poweshiek, and Colleen Cometsevah.
She is survived by her son, Howard Battise of Lufkin, Texas; son, Murray Rhoads Jr. and wife, Patty of Missouri; daughter, Adria Suina and husband, Greg of New Mexico; daughter, Melanie Motah and husband, Gaylon of Lawton, Oklahoma; brother, Wayne Battise of Kinder, Louisina; brother-in-law, McClamroch Battise; grandchildren, Rachel Kitchen and husband, Jonathan, Britni Flores and husband, Tré, Niko Battise, Rory Suina, Quentin Suina, Lillene Suina, Sophie Suina, Adrian Rhoads, Dustin Rhoads, Ricky Furr, Grant Furr, Rosie Motah, and Joel Motah; step-sisters, Gladys Shutt and husband, John, Claudine Hasting and husband, Eddie, and Carol Whitworth and husband, John; step-brother, Walter T. Celestine and wife, Kathy; and 36 great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
