Obit for Patricia Hoffpauir Roach

Funeral services for Patricia Hoffpauir Roach, age 76 of Onalaska, TX., at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Dr. Don Willis and Rev. Dale Snell will conduct the services. Pallbearers are John Rozell, Jerry Bradford, Tom Martin, John Martin, Mike Ladner and Donald Roach. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Hamaker, Cliff Cecil, Wayne Bolton, Calvin Small, Bill McGregor and Floyd Schoonover. Interment will follow the chapel service at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, TX.

Patricia Hoffpauir Roach was born on June 25, 1935 in Port Arthur, TX to parents, Kahn Wise Hoffpauir and Frances Adella Bushong Hoffpauir. She passed away in Onalaska on April 12, 2012. She was a graduate of Lon Morris College and Lamar University. Patricia married Glenn Roach in First Methodist Church in Port Arthur, TX on September 3, 1955. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Onalaska and sang in the choir. Patricia held several offices at the Onalaska First United Methodist Church and loved to plan trips. She was a member of the Red Hat Society of Onalaska, 50 year member of the Beta Sigma PHI Sorority in Pasadena and Livingston, a member of the Buncos Group, AARP of Onalaska and helped at the Senior Citizen Center of Onalaska. She also was a member of First United Methodist Church in Livingston and was a ""Bell Ringer"". Patricia taught school in the Pasadena I.S.D. for twenty-five years. She loved sports and outdoor activities and especially enjoyed watching her husband, children and grandchildren play basketball and other sports. She was always willing to help others and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother to her beloved family. Patricia was uplifted by the many supportive friends throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kahn and Frances Hoffpauir; brother, Francis Hoffpauir and sister, Cora Whitsel. Patricia is survived by her husband of 56 years, Glenn Roach of Onalaska; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Gary Johnson of Gatesville, TX; son and daughter-in-law, David and Joan Roach of Pasadena, TX; sister and brother-in-law, Libby and George Conant of Ft. Worth, TX; four grandchildren, Garrett Johnson, Glynna Johnson, Alex Roach and Hunter Roach; sister-in-law, Doris Roach of Crosby, TX; nephew, Donald Roach of Spring Branch, TX and niece, Janet Ladner of Crosby, TX.
