Obituary

Pauline Dunlap Adams, 83, of Onalaska, Texas, was born June 28, 1940 in Burley, Idaho and passed away June 2, 2024 in Onalaska, Texas.

Pauline was a member of two pioneering West Texas families who were ranchers and cotton farmers. She married the late, beloved J. Kent Adams and moved to NW Harris County over 25 years ago. Because of J. Kent, she was immediately immersed into the community. Before she met him, she had been a lobbyist in Washington, D.C. for maritime interests and the President of one of the largest seafood production facilities in North America at that time (Eagle Fisheries) on Kodiak Island, Alaska.

She was active in political races for over 40 years. She was also active in the local Chamber of Commerce, Northwest Forest Republican Women, Kingwood Republican Women and served six years on the Northwest Assistance Ministries Board. J. Kent and she were the first Underwriting Chairs for FACE and served on the FACE board for many years. She has chaired the Gala for The Centrum Arts League to help raise money for music scholarships and a free children's series.

She was blessed with a large family because of J. Kent. She is survived by her son, Jerry; brother Jack; sister Frances; three step-sons, Kevin, Lee and Allen; step-daughter, Wendy their spouses, Sara, Jennifer and Jackie; twelve grandchildren, Ashley and husband Rob, Megan and husband Will, Katie and husband Tyler, Cole, Caitlin, Ella Jane, Cameron, Hailey, Reese, Aiden, Beau, Mary Kate, and eight great grandchildren: Eliza, Hallie, Palmer, Winn, Jane, Kate, Lou and Griff. She felt truly blessed.

A celebration of life event will be held at the family home at Lake Livingston in the fall, TBA.
