Obituary
Funeral services for Peggy Louise Chaney, 68, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Homer Anderson officiating. Interment will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home on Monday, January 18, 2016.
Mrs. Chaney was born in Monroe, Louisiana on August 18, 1947, to parents, Jacob Waltman and Cora (Hicks) Waltman, and passed away on January 15, 2016 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Leland Smith, Talmadge Smith, Lawrence Smith and Joseph Waltman; and sisters, Eunice Mayo and Annie May Smith.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Chaney of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Susan Smith of Livingston, Texas, Rebecca Warta and Tracey of Onalaska, Texas, and Christine Scott and Jeff of Watertown, Tennessee; sons, Charles Gilmer Jr. of Colehill, Arkansas and John Chaney of Bakersfield, California; brother, William Waltman of Oak Grove, Louisiana; grandchildren, Johnathan, Christopher, Joseph, William, Amanda, D.J., Brittany, Chase, and Angel; like a grandson, Boomer of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
