Funeral services for Penny Gayle Darling, 59, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2020, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Penny was born November 4, 1960 in LaDonia, Texas, to parents, Samuel Boyd Barnett and Dorothy Jean (Nipp) Barnett, and passed away March 15, 2020 in Livingston, Texas. She was raised on a large farm with three brothers and loving parents. She was accustomed to hard work, and was always the first to pick up a tool when there was a job to be done. She married and had her children at a young age. She was a doting wife and loved her family very much. Her passions were gardening, cooking, fishing, sewing, dancing, and being with her family every chance she got. Penny loved anything outdoors. She loved playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Being young at heart, she was "49 and holding!" and would always tell you, "never say good-bye - just say see you later". She joined in heaven, her parents, Sam and Dorothy Barnett; son, Charles Lynn Darling; husband, Robert Lee Shupack; brother, Sammy Jean Barnett; brother and sister-in-law, Corbett Lee and Sharon Jones; first husband, Michael Darling; and granddaughter, Anna Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Darling and Big Sexy; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Chris Dobbs; daughter and son-in-law, Valerie and Shawn Johnson; son, Timothy Shaffer; brother, Ronnie Barnett; uncle, Jonny Piland; grandchildren, Cricket, Lil' Bit, Bo-Bo, Toe Head, Be-Bo, Katie Bug, Hailey Baby, Munchkin, and Sweet Pea; great grandchildren, Tinkerbell, Lil' Lady, Lil' Man, Cocumo, Lucky, and Ezekiel; along with numerous other relatives, and friends.
