Funeral services for Perry D. Williams, 69, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at First Texas Indian Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Steve Parker and Ernest Best officiating. Interment will follow at the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post# 8568. Visitation will begin at 6:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at First Texas Indian Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Williams was born April 23, 1945 in Polk County, Texas to parents, Peter Sanders Williams and Dedie Beatrice (Henderson) Williams and passed away on February 16, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, he was a Vietnam Veteran, a Deacon of First Texas Indian Baptist Church and a past tribal council chairman. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandchildren, Bretta Stafford, Nicholas Williams, Colbert Williams Jr., Gabriel Shields.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene Williams of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Shawna Williams of Livingston, Texas; Andrea Poncho and Shane of Livingston, Texas; sons, Kendall Williams of Livingston, Texas, Colbert Williams and Jolynn of Livingston, Texas, Patrick Williams and Janet of Lufkin, Texas; grandchildren, Jonathan Williams, Joey Williams, Jasper Williams, Phillip Thompson, Cherise Williams, Katie Poncho, Dillan Poncho, Taylor Poncho, Shaena Poncho, Cree Poncho, Ellison Poncho, Mia Poncho, Bon Poncho, Octavia Poncho, Jennifer Ogden, Jeremiah Gavette, Miranda Saucedo, Zoe; great-grandchildren, Xander Williams, Xavier Factor, Dayton Poncho, Dillan Poncho Jr., Colton Ogden, Lyndsey Gavette, Christian Gavette, Alexander Gavette, Evoli Gavette, William Gavette, Jayden Gavette; brothers, Leslie Williams and Maryllis of Livingston, Texas, Larry Williams and Pam of Lufkin, Texas, Gene Williams of Livingston, Texas; sisters, Brenda Thompson and Joe Thomas of Livingston, Texas; Judith Walker of Livingston, Texas; brothers-in-law, Herbert Johnson and Deloris of Livingston, Texas, Austin Johnson and Abilene of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
