Peyton Earcle Vaughn, age 73, of Onalaska, Texas, passed away in Conroe Regional Hospital in Conroe, Texas on March 10, 2013. He was born on August 26, 1939, in Lufkin, Texas, to parents William Vaughn and Mary Buckhalter Vaughn. Peyton married Joyce Lee Harris in Polk County, Texas. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard.

Peyton is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce; daughter, Cindy Weller, sister Laverne Johnson; and two brothers, J.E. Vaughn and A.B. Vaughn. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Wanda Edenfield and husband, Glen of Onalaska, Texas; daughter, Leticia Parker and husband, Steven of Denham Springs, Louisiana; son, James Enfinger; son, Steven Vaughn of Denham Springs, Louisiana; daughter, Debbie Stone of Marianna, Florida; son, Dennis Vaughn and wife Carrie of Spring, Texas; son-in-law, Doyle Weller of Livingston, Texas; numerous grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; special friend (BFF), Faye Holcomb; brother, Wayne Vaughn; and two sisters, Mauldic Rhodes and Drunell Evans.

A Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 14, 2013, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas. Bro. Harold Isaacs will conduct the service.
