R. Dean Blau, age 87, of Huntsville, TX was born in Houston, Texas on May 6, 1924 to parents, Robert Blau and Maurice Whitley Blau and he passed away on January 11, 2012, in Huntsville. He served for three years in the United States Coast Guard and later attended Baylor Dental College and practiced Dentistry. Later in his years he retired and moved to Onalaska where he attended First United Methodist Church for 40 years and later became a member of the Point Blank Community Church. He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Boykin Blau; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Troylene Blau; daughter and son-in-law, Cathy and Jerry Venable; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, January 14, 2012 at 10:30 AM in the Point Blank Community Church, 456 Robinson Way, Point Blank, Texas 77364.
