R. Jean Johnston age 83 of Livingston passed away Monday January 25, 2010 in Lufkin. Funeral services will be held 10:00AM Saturday January 30, 2010 in the Beacon Bay Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday January 29, 2010 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home.

Jean was born October 29, 1926 in Arkansas City, Kansas to parents Wilford Thomas Hand and Ethel Virginia Chatham Hand. She worked for many years as a pharmacy tech at Brookshire Brothers, and as the office manager at Dr. Llanes office.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald E. Johnston, and brother Wilford Thomas Hand Jr.

Jean is survived by her daughters Donna Blair and husband Bobby of Harker Hights, Susan Wood and husband Michael of League City, sons Rick Johnston and wife Nancy of Houston, and Larry Johnston and wife Ester of Richardson, grandchildren Brent Blair, Brian & Madelaine Blair, Leslie & Dana Aurty, Lindsey Blair, Christopher Wood, Ashley Wood, Justin Wood, Kresten Matthew Johnston, Kristen Johnston, Hannah Rose Johnston, David Aaron & Lee Ann Johnston, and Daniel Adam Johnston, great grandchildren Hayden Blair, Dylan Blair, Madison Blair, and Mikayla Jean Blair.
