Graveside services for Rachel Virginia Rice, 88, of Leggett, Texas, will be held Sunday, September 10, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Rice Cemetery in Leggett, Texas.
Mrs. Rice was born July 12, 1929 in Trevat, Texas to parents, William Turner Vinson and Bertha Tolitha (McKee) Vinson, and passed away September 6, 2017 in Woodville, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Craig; sisters, Ailene, Elsie, Lucille, and Hazel; and brothers, Bob, J.B. "Shorty", Leon, Joe "Fatty" and Johnny.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Rice Jr. of Leggett, Texas; son, Michael Rice and wife, Marilyn of Livingston, Texas; son, Gary Rice of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Teresa McVeigh and husband, Greg of Brunswick, Maine; son, Kyle Rice and wife, Pam of Houston, Texas; son, Chris Rice and wife, Mindy of Leggett, Texas; grandchildren, Heather, Sean, Katy, Tessa, Meghan, Cassy, Emily and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Audrey, Ella, Dean, and Nathan; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the N.H. Rice Cemetery Association; 107 Holly Hill Dr.; Livingston, Texas 77351
