Ralph Gerald Wills was born July 7, 1928 in George West, Texas to Roscoe (Ross) Gerald Wills and Audie Dorothy Lusk Wills and passed away November 22, in Livingston, Texas following a brief illness.
He leaves behind his daughter, Kathy Hill and husband Howard of Livingston, Texas; daughter-in-law Nancy Wills of Cut & Shoot, Texas; grandchildren, Aaron Hill of Livingston, Evan Hill of Livingston, Alyse Hill-McMenamin and husband Shawn of Livingston, Jennifer Ivy of Arkansas, & Jennifer Hulse of Cut & Shoot; and great grandchild Shaun Bright of Arkansas. Acting as a grandfather/great-grandfather to following; nephew, Andrew Hamilton & wife Cathy of San Antonio; niece, Jodi Hamilton of Houston; Great-nieces Danielle Hamilton of San Antonio, Samantha Sims and husband, Josh of San Antonio, and Tanah Battise of Houston; great nephews, Nick Hamilton of San Antonio and Shiloh Battise of Houston; and the newest generation, great-grandnieces, Sadie and Riley Jo Sims.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 65 years Virginia (Ginger) Lee Wills, parents Roscoe Wills and Audie Wills, son Richard (Ricky) Wills, great-grandchild Dorian McMenamin, and great-niece Kay-ci Lindsay.
Ralph grew up in Waco, Texas until the family moved to Houston at age 5. When he was 11 the family once again moved from downtown Houston to Channelview, having to walk the family cow with his cousin the entire way. After graduating from Robert E Lee High School in Baytown, he joined the Navy post WWII. After the Navy, he met & married Ginger and raised his family in Channelview. During that time, he filmed the high school football games for the coaches for 30 years. He was employed at Sheffield Steel/Armco Steel in Greens Bayou. After retiring, he moved to Livingston. He loved camping, and animals. His pride & joy were his grandchildren.
