Rance David Defeyter II

Rance David Defeyter was born on October 24, 1990 in Cheboygan, Michigan and went to be with the Lord on July 25, 2026 in The Woodlands, TX after a sudden illness. Rance is survived by his parents Rance and Janet (Mercer) Defeyter, Grandmother Barbara Mercer, Aunts and Uncles Cliff and Debbi (Mercer) Roberts, Rhonda Rose, Ron Defeyter, Jerry and Sheila Mercer, David Mercer and many loved cousins. Rance was blessed to have made many friends and he would want to mention his childhood friend and brother by proxy, Matt Osborne.

Rance had a passion for cooking and loved his job and his co-workers, many of which became close friends. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh and make others laugh. Rance’s also had a passion for music and writing lyrics and poems in his free time and loved deep dive discussions about humanity and history. Rance was a very loving and compassionate man and was always willing to help others in any way he could.

A celebration of life will be held on August 8, 2026, at 11:00 am at Pine Forest Baptist Church. In leu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to the benevolence fund at Pine Forest Baptist Church, 10537 US-190 W, Livingston Texas, TX 77351.
