Funeral services for Ray Mark Phillippe, age 81 of Goodrich, Texas will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at Chesswood Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Daniel Burchfield officiating. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 10:00-11:00 a.m., at the Church.

Ray was born to the late Ray Mancil Phillippe and Evelyn Cramer on July 6, 1943 in Clinton, OK. After a long, courageous fight with cancer, he joined his Savior on November 18, 2024. God was good to him every day of his life!

In Oklahoma, Ray graduated from Ardmore High School and East Central University. He honorably served as an Officer in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Ray devoted most of his adult life to sharing God's love with young people through various ministries, and his final assignment was as Pastor of Chesswood Baptist Church in Livingston, TX.

Ray loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart and leaves a godly legacy of worship, devotion, and prayer. He married the love of his life, Brenda Maas, on December 25, 1983 and treasured each moment of their 40+ years together. His favorite hobbies were spending time with family, fishing, and cheering on the OU Sooners.

Ray was predeceased by his parents and son, Jeff Phillippe. He leaves behind his wife, Brenda; daughter Janelle Bauer; daughter Tracie Spradlin Joe); son Randy Phillippe (Audra); Grandchildren: Jeff Ray Phillippe (Krista), Catherine Kovarcik (Cory), Sean Phillippe (Kelly), Heather Lowry (Nathan), JoAnna Tomko (Harrison), Caitlin Jones, David Spradlin, Matthew Spradlin (Maddie), Michael Spradlin, Hannah Spradlin, Daniel Spradlin, McKenzie Phillippe, Tanner Phillippe; sixteen great-grandchildren; sister Linda White (Gary); sister-in-law Debra Hughes; and many friends.

Pallbearers: Randy Phillippe, Joe Spradlin, Sean Phillippe, David Spradlin, Matthew Spradlin, and Michael Spradlin.
