Funeral services for Raymond Cooper Hadley, 64, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Steve Waldrep officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Point Blank, Texas. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17, 2017.
Mr. Hadley was born on October 25, 1953 in Houston, Texas to parents, Sterling T. Hadley and Myrtle Lee (Schawbe) Hadley, and passed away on November 14, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, he was married to the love of his life, Mertie for 24 years. Raymond was an avid deer hunter and he loved the outdoors. One of his passions was working on his John Deer tractor and he loved working with heavy equipment. His step-grandchildren were one of his prized possessions. He loved to see them ride four-wheelers and mule buggies. Raymond was a member of the Onalaska Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Hadley of Livingston, Texas; son, Raymond C. Hadley Jr. of Ohio; step-sons, Donnie Pate and wife, Jan of Livingston, Texas, and Terry Pate and wife, Vikki of Shepherd, Texas; sisters, Rosie Lee Hadley of Humble, Texas, Garland Hadley of Woodville, Texas, Renee Gonzales of Houston, Texas, and Angela M. Hadley of Houston, Texas; nieces, Myrtle Flannery of Woodville, Texas, Bonnie G. Hadley of Humble, Texas, and Ashley Gonzales of Houston, Texas; nephews, Nicolas Gonzales and Alex Gonzales both of Houston, Texas; and great-niece, Payton Flannery of Woodville, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
