Graveside services for Raymond Jerome Pritchard, 85, of Channelview, Texas, will be held Friday, January 26, 2024, at 11:00 a.m., at the Salty Cemetery in Rockdale, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 25, 2024, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Pritchard was born December 6, 1938 in Lincoln County, Mississippi and passed away January 21, 2024 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry Orville "H.O." and Ruth Claire (Smith) Pritchard; brothers-in-law Raymond Shotwell, Lloyd Jackson, and Ronnie Jackson; and daughter-in-law, Beth Pritchard.

He graduated from Galena Park High School in 1957 with a football scholarship to Tulsa Oklahoma. After graduation he married his high school sweetheart, Clarie Jackson. They had 2 children: a son, Raymond Michael (Mike) and a daughter, Rayeleen.

Upon returning to the Houston area Raymond attended Sheet Metal Trade School, from which he retired in 1994.

His hobbies were cutting horses of which he owned several. Attending the National Cutting Horse Futurity was a highlight for him and his trainer/rider.  He also loved looking at old family pictures.  You visit, you're looking at pictures!

Raymond is survived by his wife, Claire Eileen Jackson Pritchard; son, Raymond Michael "Mike" Pritchard; daughter and son-in-law, Rayeleen Pritchard Gregory and husband Paul Gregory; sister, Edith Carol Pritchard Shotwell; grandchildren, Summer Mitchell and husband, Coty Pritchard and husband Alex Leal, Cristin Grandjean and husband Kevin, Jennifer McCollough and husband Greg, Lauren Guilbeau and husband Tyler, Logan Holston, Layne Holston, and Cameron Gregory; and great grandchildren, Regan Mitchell, Kennedy Grandjean, Conner Grandjean, Kase Grandjean, Hagen Jackson, Gracie McCollough, Heston McCollough, Ryder Guilbeau, Tealson Guilbeau, Paisley Holston, McCray Holston, Dally Holston, and Waelon Holston; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

To our husband, dad, and papa: you will be dearly missed by all. Go Rest High on That Mountain Cowboy, until we met again. Much Love, your family
