Funeral services for Raymond L. Roberds, 83, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Rainbow Baptist Church in Rye, Texas with Bro. Clyde Sommers officiating. Interment will follow at Menard Chapel Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Roberds was born on January 18, 1930 in Shepherd, Texas and passed away on January 6, 2014 at his home in Livingston, Texas. He proudly served our country in the United Stated Army. He married Doris Rochelle Rocchi on July 10, 1948 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Luther Lewis and Myra (Murphy) Roberds; brothers, Luther Arnold Roberds, Warren Roberds; sisters, Rosie Baxter, Ruby Barrett, Carrie Blackmon; daughter, Debbie Neal.

He is survived by wife, Doris Rochelle Roberds of Livingston, Texas; son, Raymond Lewis Roberds, Jr. and wife Sherry of Port O'Connor, Texas; son, Larry Gene Roberds and wife Tracy of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Teresa Carol Benson and husband Robert of Sarepta, Louisiana; son, Kenneth Wayne Roberds of Cleveland, Texas; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann, Larry Foyt, Ashley, Kyle, Terrie DeAnn, Ricky, Kim, Heather, Lacey, Lil Kenny, Kendra; twenty one great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Mr. Roberds will be escorted to his grave by pallbearers, Tommy Trimm, Mike Criswell, Brandon Rose, Robert Shane Burnett, Richard King, Gerald Criswell.
