Reba Geraldine Griffin Hooper, 83, of Hoop and Holler (Rye, Texas) died, December 30, 2020, after a long battle with cancer.

Reba was born on May 12, 1937, in Wewoka, OK, and was a resident of Hoop and Holler, Texas for 23 years, coming from Palm Beach County, FL.

Reba was a member of Holly Grove Baptist Church in Holly Grove (Livingston, Texas).  Prior to the Covid Pandemic, she loved singing with the Victory Singers at different Nursing Homes and playing Bunco and other games with friends and family.

Reba never met a stranger, she loved everybody and would give her last nickel to help someone out or bake them a cake, a pie or make them a pot of homemade dumplings or noodles.

Survivors include one Sister-in-law, Dorothy Griffin of Wharton, Texas; one Sister, Alta Benjamin and husband, Chuck of Sebastion, FL; Brothers, Jimmy Griffin and wife, Carol of Livingston, TX and Jerl Griffin and wife, Gail of Rye, TX; Nieces, Misty Griffin Richardson and husband Ernie of Livingston, TX, Michelle Griffin Anglin and husband Shannon of Rye, TX, Belinda Griffin Manning and husband Jo of Hot Springs, Ark; Nephews, Kenneth Allen Griffin of Alvin, TX, Jimmy Griffin and wife, Jana of Scottsdale, AZ.  Many great nieces and nephews, a very special Aunt, Norma Jean Morris of Oklahoma City, OK and a host of family and friends.

Predeceased in death by father, Arthur Griffin; mother, Lorene Griffin Stokes Ladd; brother, Kenneth Griffin; niece, Lisa Griffin Kocurek; nephews, Wayne Griffin, Donald Meredith, Ronald Meredith and Randy Meredith.

Graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Gary Lawrence officiating.  Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. prior to service time at graveside.
