Funeral services for Rebecca 'Becky' Elizabeth Regina Halbert, 61, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, June 3, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m., until the service begins at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home followed by a reception at the Halbert Family Home, 346 Edgewater Dr. Livingston, Tx.

Becky was born January 29, 1961, in Omaha, Nebraska to parents, Billie Dale Drake Sr. and Phyllis Delorus (Udell) Drake, and passed away May 31, 2022, in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; and sisters, Pamela Merriam and Victoria Willis. Becky played fast pitch softball at Northern Arizona, went to the division two women's college world series, and at Cal State Fullerton. She met her husband at a Spatz Family Reunion in Bull Head City, Arizona on December 5, 1989, and married on June 22, 1991, in Loveland, Colorado. Becky became an accomplished Physical Therapist Assistant, dedicated over 35 years to the industry in California, Colorado, and Texas. Out of the numerous facilities she worked at the most recent was Memorial Hermann Health System who she called her second home for over a decade.

In recent years Becky was able to live out one of her dreams by moving up to Livingston with her family where they got to spend every day living by the lake. One of Becky's favorites says was, "look at the waaater," to the fact the Halbert family ended up having it engraved on one of their clocks. Becky was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and the baby of eight children. She was known not only for her hard work and the dedication she put into all her patients but also the smiles and laughter accompanying with her. She will definitely be missed.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Halbert of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Samantha Halbert of Bryan, Texas, and Kimberly Halbert of Livingston, Texas; son, Zachary Halbert also of Livingston; sisters, JoAnn Brown and husband, Jerry of Nunn, Colorado and Christine Hughes of Alvin, Texas; and brothers, Billie Drake Jr, and wife, Debbie of North Richland Hills, Texas, Douglas Drake and Bonnie of Reno, Colorado, and Donald Drake and wife, Janie Covina, California; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
