Memorial services for Rene' Cardenas, 54, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas

Mr. Cardenas was born August 13, 1960 in Warner Robbins, Georgia to parents, Louis Cardenas and Mary Melendez Salazar, and passed away December 19, 2014 in Onalaska, Texas. During his life, Rene' had many passions and hobbies, including traveling, cooking, camping, hiking and salt water fishing. He was also a regular volunteer at the Polk County SPCA

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Ebermann of Onalaska, Texas; mother and husband, Mary and Mike Salazar of Spring, Texas; father and wife, Louis and Esmeralda Cardenas of Houston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Lisa and James Jackson of Houston, Texas; brother, Joe Michael Salazar of Houston, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, David and Debra Cardenas of Atascocita, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Abel and Jacklyn Salazar of Spring, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Polk County SPCA
