Obituary

With hearts full of love and memories, we celebrate the life of Rhonda Kay Isaac Cox, who set sail on her final journey on March 16, 2025 at the age of 63. Rhonda was a carefree, happy-go-lucky spirit who embraced life with open arms, always seeking a good time, laughter, and a great deal—whether it was on a cruise, at a craft store, or in the company of those she loved.

Born on July 10 in Houston, Rhonda had a zest for life that was truly infectious. She loved nothing more than setting sail on a cruise, scheming up new party ideas, and sitting outdoors enjoying nature and God's creations. Her creativity knew no bounds—whether through creating fun desserts, decorating for the holidays (especially lighting up Christmas in spectacular fashion), or finding unique art and artists to share and enjoy.

Rhonda was also a devoted dog lover, and her furry companions were her heart and soul. She had a knack for making any moment fun, turning the simplest things into an adventure, making holidays memorable with games and competitions, and bringing people together with her warmth and humor. If there was a bargain to be found, Rhonda was the first to spot it—she was a true connoisseur of a great deal, always knowing how to stretch a dollar.

She leaves behind her husband, Randy Cox, her daughters Crystal Wells, Ashley Wells, and Brittany and husband Tommy Taylor, her stepson Clint Cox, her grandchildren Jayden Vickery, Brayden Vickery, Riley Taylor, Kenzley Taylor, Ashton Cox, and her recently added great-grandchild Iyla Chica. She is survived by her sisters Debbie Cooper and Kathy Ringo, and many friends and loved ones who will forever carry her vibrant spirit in their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents Rebecca and Marvin Isaac and her brother James Isaac, Jr.

Rhonda's life will be celebrated on Friday, March 21, 2025 at 10am at Cochran's Funeral Home in Livingston, followed by a graveside service at Holly Grove Cemetery, where friends and family will come together to share stories, laughter, and love—just as she wanted. Visitation will begin on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 5-7p at Cochran Funeral Home. Floral arrangements can be sent via Sheryl's Flowers and Gifts. Serving as pallbearers will be Brayden Vickery, Riley Taylor, Tommy Taylor, Clint Cox, James Ringo and Felix Valderez.

Though she may no longer walk this earth, Rhonda's free spirit, infectious laughter, and boundless love will forever be felt in the waves, the holiday lights, the wagging tails of her beloved dogs, and the memories she created with all who were lucky enough to know her. May she rest in eternal peace, forever cruising in the sunshine and ocean breeze.
