Richard Allen Bunker Jr. 59 of Livingston passed away Friday November 21, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be Monday November 24, 2008 at 2:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Damon Snead officiating. Burial will follow in the Peebles Cemetery, where military honors will be given by VFW Honors Guard Post # 8568 Visitation will be Sunday November 23, 2008 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM also in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Richard was born April 25, 1949 in Houston to parents Richard Allen Bunker Sr. and Janet Gustin Bunker. He married Carol Elaine Covington on January 30, 1970 in La Marque. He was a proud veteran serving in the United States Navy. Richard was very active in his church and in the mentoring program at TDCJ.

He is survived by his loving wife Carol Bunker of Livingston, sons Allen Bunker III and wife Megan of Alvin, David Bunker and wife Vikki of Livingston, daughter Melissa Bunker of Livingston, grandchildren Justin Bunker, Shelby Bunker, David Bunker Jr., Mikel Bunker, Cole Bunker, Haylee Bunker and One on the way, and great grandchild Blake. He is also survived by his brothers Michael Bunker and wife Mona , Wayne Bunker and wife Tina, mother in law Ellen Covington, and sister in law Debra Vicknair.

Serving as pallbearers will be Scott Bunker, Brian Bunker, Tripp Vicknair, Mike Covington, David Ackridge, John Laviolette, Rodney Fleming, Mike Smith, Gregg Vicknair, Rodney Still, Rodney Fleming Jr., James Covington, Earl Vicknair, Chris Parks, and Bill McGary.
