Funeral services for Richard D. Mullins, 56, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Ernest Moyers officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Mullins was born May 2, 1962 in Vernon, Texas, to parents, Douglas Mullins and Pauline (York) Mullins, and passed away December 3, 2018 in Livingston, Texas. During his lifetime, he proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps in Platoon #1078. After the military, he was a proud over the road truck driver for 14+ years. Richard is survived by many loved ones. He was a very special husband and Daddy, and a very well loved Paw Paw. Richard loved to meet new people and to make them smile. His grandchildren were his life. He will be missed every day. He is preceded in death by his mother; brother, Bruce Mullins; and granddaughter, Anna-Leigh Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Mullins of Livingston; father, Douglas Mullins of Rockport; daughters, Sherry Smith and husband, Clinton of Livingston, Kristy Vincent of Kingwood, Shannon Burch of Houston, and Ashley Schulte of Livingston; Terry Burch and wife, Rosie Moen of Houston; grandchildren, Maddison Smith, Landon Smith, Hunter Smith, Andrew-Lee Smith, Mariam McVaugh, Greg Daniel McVaugh Jr., EmmaLeigh Vincent, Marissa Roberts, David Hendrix, Allie Botello, Jackson Lachney, Dacey Burch, Terry Burch Jr., Tobias Burch, and Isiah Moen; and great-grandchild, Elijah James Orona; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
