Funeral Services for Richard Homer Viken, age 66, of Livingston will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston with Rev. Richard Gray and Bishop C. E. Lott officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. - 10:00 P.M. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Pallbearers are Ronnie Long, John Owens, Ron Gemeinhardt, Nick Gibbons, Anthony Lindsey, and Steven Miller. Honorary Pallbearers are Al Jones, Jerry Viken, Mark Jones, James Twentier, and Reid Leslie.

He was born on October 31, 1945 in Springfield, Missouri to Rev. Orlando Franklin Viken and Ruth Loweeta Wooten Viken and passed away on November 12, 2011 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father, Rev. Orlando Franklin Viken.

The family of Richard is his Wife, Terry Viken of Livingston, Mother, Ruth Viken of Webster, Daughter and Son-In-Law, Sheri and Ronnie Long of Pearland, Granddaughter and Husband, Rhonna and Nick Gibbons of Temple, Granddaughter, Brittany Long of Webster, Great Granddaughter, Lonna Gibbons of Temple, Great Grandson, Caden Gibbons of Temple, Brother and Sister-In-Law, Jerry and Jan Viken of Tyler, and Sister and Brother-In-Law, Marilyn and Ron Gemeinhardt of League City. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
