Obit for Robert Bradford Morton
Funeral services were held for Robert Bradford Morton, age 89 of Livingston, TX at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, TX. Bro. Randall Whitt conducted the services. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Loyalty Class of Central Baptist Church. Internment will follow the chapel service at Forest Hill Cemetery.
Robert was born on July 20, 1922 in Johnson County, TX to parents Clovis Dempsey Morton and Susie Fulfer Hardin Morton. He was a member of Teamsters Local 745; a member of the Loyalty Class Bible Study and Central Baptist Church of Livingston. He married Jacqueline June Johnston Gore in 1972. After his first retirement, Robert worked part time and had a lawn mower business with Jet Tire, Burkhalter Trailer Sales and Bob' Mowers. He finally retired for the 4th time at 85 year of age.
Robert passed away on March 18, 2012 at his home in Livingston.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Clovis and Susie Morton; three brothers, Gus Garland Morton, Bert Morton, and Billy Jay Morton; and two sisters, June Manuel and Lenora Covington. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jacqueline June Morton of Livingston; one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Mary Morton of San Antonio; three daughters and three sons-in-law, Sue and Tomy Hamon of Texas City, TX, Cathy and Ken Butler of Lamarque, TX and Debbie and Bobby Modisette of Dayton, TX; one stepson and wife, Steve and Renee Gore of Sugarland, TX; twelve grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby Ray and Sandy Morton of Liberty, MO and sister-in-law, Marvetta Morton of Cleburne, TX.
Visitation will be held Wednesday morning, March 21, 2012 beginning at 8:00 AM until service time.
