Funeral services for Robert Charles Burkett, Sr., age 75 of Rye, Texas will be held Thursday December 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with interment to follow in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston. Pallbearers will be Rick Hardesty, Elvin Cochran, Shannon Cochran, Erick, Tim Pettijohn and Jack Hardesty. Honorary Pallbearer will be Johnny Burkett.

He was born July 1, 1935 in Houston, Texas the son of Harry Edward Burkett, Sr., and Beulah Lingo Burkett and passed away December 5, 2010 at his home in Rye. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Joyce Burkett.
