Texas lost a great salesman when Robert James Chandler passed away on October 7, 2025, in Coldspring, Texas. Bob was born in Des Moines, Iowa on December 23, 1938. He graduated from Drake University with a BBA and moved to Texas in 1968, where he began his career with the Principal Financial Group. He retired as the regional manager of Group and Pension Insurance in 1993, after 25 years of service. Bob and Pam lived in Quail Valley for 32 years before retiring to Lake Livingston where Bob could fish and play golf to his heart's content.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Chandler, and Elizabeth (Mayer) Chandler; brother, George Chandler; and sons, Glynn Chandler, and David Chandler.

Bob is survived by his wife of almost 53 years, Pamela Ann Chandler of Coldspring, Texas; daughter Stacey Woolcock and husband Daniel of Baytown, Texas; son Don Martin Chandler of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, David Woolcock, Maddie Woolcock, Glendon Chandler, and Brinna Chandler; and sisters, Cathy Hoover and husband Gary, and Sue Atha and husband Lee, all of Coldspring, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Special thanks to his sisters Cathy Hoover and Sue Atha and their husbands Gary Hoover and Lee Atha for their continuous care and support, as well as the devoted caretakers Bird, Ann, and Devonte who cared for him in his last days.
