It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Robert "Bobby" Cummings Jr., age 69, of Livingston, Texas. A lifelong Baptist and a member of First Baptist Church in Livingston, Robert spent the majority of his life in Texas and always considered it his home. Over the years he held several professions and excelled in each one. He worked as a long-haul truck driver, heavy-equipment operator, assistant farm manager, and most recently as a crane operator and manager in the construction industry.

Robert never met a stranger. He was kind, generous, and always willing to help in any way he could. He loved to fish, a passion he joyfully shared with his grandchildren at every opportunity.

After a courageous 12-year battle with Myasthenia Gravis, Robert passed away this past Tuesday.

Left to honor his memory are his wife of 36 years, Sabrena Cummings; his children Roy and Nichole Pryor, Tracie and Will Johnston, and James and Chamomile Woodburn-Cummings; and his dearly loved grandchildren Lila, Sofia, Liam, Ethan, Reid, Cole, and Rowan. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law and love, Jerry Don and Janet Denson; sister-in-law Sharon Kay Ryan; a host of nieces and nephews; and an entire adopted family in Sour Lake whom he held close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Juanita Cummings; his brother Charlie Cummings; and his nephews Kirby Cummings Jr., Andy Guillory Jr., and Anson Guillory.

Other family members he loved dearly include daughters, Robin Cummings; Angela and Robert Reid, and their children Kylee and husband Stran, and Jaden; Monika Hines and her son, Roger; Debbie and Gary Tripp; Donna and Andy Guillory; Dixie and William Miller; brother, Kirby Sr.; and sister, Georgie Cummings; and Deitra Shaver.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Robert's honor on January 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at First Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas.
