Robert David Johnson ("Dave"), age 89, passed away peacefully due to natural causes in Livingston, Texas on June 28, 2024. Dave was born on February 28, 1935 and grew up in the Pittsburg, Pennsylvania area. He was blessed with a loving family and friends and has left them with many fond memories.

Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Sarah Johnson, his father Horace Johnson and his sister Mary Johnson Underwood. He is survived by his children, Julie Johnson Trumble, Jenifer Johnson Bersch and Mark David Johnson, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Dave was a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and served his county in the US Army, completing his military service at Fort Belvoir in Virginia. He spent most of his career in executive positions with NCR in Ohio, Texas and Minnesota. Dave had a love of motorcycles and was most proud of his Triumph which he spent much time rebuilding and riding. In his younger years, Dave also enjoyed racing his motorcycles in enduro races and enjoyed getting his hands dirty fixing anything motorized.

Dave would want us to extend a special thank you to his friends Barbara and Hank for opening their home and providing loving care. They were amazing caregivers and did their best to keep him nourished, engaged, well cared for and so much more.

Dave's family wishes him everlasting peace and joy and will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
