Funeral services for Robert Alfred Emerson, Jr., age 84 of Livingston will be held Friday October 22, 2010 in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas at 1:00 PM with Homer Anderson officiating and interment to follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska. Pallbearers will be Bobby Kelley,Keith Kelley, Walker Fletcher, Jason Fletcher, Jerry Hallmark, Dale Hyatt and Joe Emerson.

He was born December 31, 1925 in Hartburg, Texas the son of Robert A. Emerson, Sr., and Gertrude Brown Emerson and passed away October 17, 2010 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Frances Elizabeth Emerson, sisters, Dolly Ruth Newell and Marie Long, brothers, Kenneth Emerson and Bill Emerson and grandson Steven Hyatt.

He lived in Houston until 25 years ago when he retired and moved to Onalaska to fish. He went peacefully with his family by his bedside.

He is survived by Del & Shirley Hyatt, son and daughter in law of Missouri City, Texas, Mary & Jerry Hallmark, daughter and son in law of Onalaska, Texas, Judy & Jeff Savitt, daughter & son in law of Toms River, New Jersey, Jimmy & Anita Emerson, brother & sister in law of Cooper, Texas, grandchildren; Bobby Lee Kelley, Walker Fletcher, Jason Fletcher, Elizabeth Ellyson Lyndsey Savitt Inzano and Brandon Savitt, great grandchildren; Christopher Lee Kelley, Keith Ryan Kelley, Brittany Ann Kelley, Faith Elizabeth Fletcher, Elena Ellyson, Josh Ellyson and Marisa Ellyson, great great grandchildren; Landon, Sadie and Kadence.
