Robert Earl McGowan 82, of Livingston passed away December 18, 2007 in Houston. Funeral services were held Saturday December 22, 2007 at 10:00AM at First Baptist Church of Onalaska with Bro. Don Wilkey officiating. Burial was held in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska.

He was born August 22, 1925 in Beaumont, Texas to parents Nathan and Margye Barrow McGowen. Robert served in the Navy during WWII.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Nathan ""Buddy"" McGowan. He is survived by his wife Mary McGowan, son Michael McGowan and wife Melinda, daughters Pat Paschetag and husband Jack, Peggy Wiesner and husband Doug, grandchildren David Simoneaux, Madeleine Aguirre, Robert McGowan, Michelle Holt, Kristin Adams and Matthew Paschetag. He also has 15 great grandchildren that survive him.

Serving as pallbearers were Paul Adams, David Simoneaux, Jason Holt, Jonathan Holt, Joshua Holt, Patrick Wiesner, Tom McGowan, and Bobby McGowan. Honorary pallbearer was Matthew Paschetag.
