Services for Robert Charles McMurry, 95, of La Porte, Texas, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2023 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas and will be officiated by Pastor Sean Ferry. Interment will follow at Carlisle Cemetery in Trinity, Texas.

Robert was born October 7, 1927 in Lake Charles, Louisiana and passed away July 24, 2023 in La Porte, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Claude P. McMurry and Wilma (Plaisance) McMurry; wife, Louise McMurry; son, Richard McMurry; and daughter, Patricia Spinks.

He is survived by his son, Ronald Charles McMurry and wife Madeline of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Danya Walker and husband Brad of Pasadena, Texas; granddaughter, Melissa Tingue and husband John; grandsons, Robert Lane, Jr. and wife Caroline, Timothy Lane and wife Jackie and Aaron McMurry and wife Meagan; granddaughter, Summer Schillings and husband Robert; grandsons, Bradley Walker, Jr. and James Walker and wife Fawn; granddaughter, Jennifer Sanders; grandson, Ross McMurry and wife Chloe; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Jan McMurry; as well as several other relatives and friends.
