Obituary
Funeral services for Robert Charles Murphy, 72, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Jason Sandefer officiating. Interment will follow in the Midway Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Murphy was born December 30, 1943 in Beaumont, Texas to parents, Olan Bruce Murphy and Rose (Roy) Murphy, and passed away November 27, 2016 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, he loved listening to 50's and 60's music and playing golf. Robert also loved to restore old cars. His favorite was '57 Chevrolets. His all-time favorite was being at home and spending time with his family. He loved watching the grandkids play ball. Robert attended most of their games. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Murphy of Livingston, Texas; son, Mark Murphy of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Sheila Duff and husband, Mark of Livingston, Texas; grandsons, Adam Duff and fiancé, Natalie Sebaugh of Livingston, Texas and Bryan Duff of Livingston, Texas; brothers, Wayne Murphy and wife, Phyllis of Seattle, Washington and Mike Murphy and wife, Ellen of Beaumont, Texas; nephews, Jared Murphy and wife, Juliet of Seattle, Washington, Blake Murphy and wife, Jackie of Seattle, Washington, Justin Murphy and wife, Carrie of Beaumont, Texas and David Murphy and wife, Robyn of Houston, Texas; and his best friend, St. Elmo Smith that served with him in the Texas National Guard; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
