Funeral services for Robert Edward Steele Jr., 82, of Coldspring, Texas, will be held Thursday, February 13, 2020, at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Don Prather officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Steele was born January 22, 1938 in Houston, Texas to parents, Robert Edward Steele Sr. and Willie Bell (Shelbouon) Steele, and passed away February 9, 2020 in Cleveland, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Melissa Steele. During his life, Mr. Steele was a member of the Shepherd Church of Christ and was a prior reserve deputy for the San Jacinto County Sheriff's Office.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Steele of Coldspring; sons, Bobby Steele and wife, Angelia, William Steele and wife, Shirley all of Coldspring, Jeff Steele of Point Blank, and James Blair and wife, Tracy of Coldspring; daughters, Michelle Blair and Stephanie Gore and husband, Malcolm all of Coldspring; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and sister, Dede Thompson and husband, Jack of Spring; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
