A celebration of life for Robert Michael Velasco, 70, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church on the Lake in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Mike Hooper officiating.  Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Post 8568 Honor Guard.

Robert Michael Velasco was born November 5, 1950 in San Jose, California to parents Manuel Velasco and Beulah (Martinez) Velasco and passed away on May 14, 2021 in Cypress, Texas.  He is preceded in death by his parents.  Mr. Velasco proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Velasco is survived by his wife, Dorothy (Wood) Velasco of Goodrich, Texas; daughter, Christina Gonzales of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Brian Moreland and Natalie of Gonzales, Texas; grandchildren, Brandon Moreland, Olivia Moreland, Abby Moreland, Katherine Moreland, Raiden Gonzales and Ava Joy Gonzales; brothers and sisters-in-law, Patrick Velasco and Rosa, Gregory Velasco and Tina, Art Velasco and Billie, Frank Lyons and Evelyn; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
