Funeral services for Rodney G. Goins, 62, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 in the Beech Creek Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Don Goodwin, Bro. Lucas Swinnea, and Rev. Dennis Land officiating. Interment will follow in the Peebles Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 in the Beech Creek Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Goins was born June 5, 1958 in La Marque, Texas to parents, Rudolph Goins and Wilma Aunita (Elliott) Goins, and passed away October 10, 2020 in Houston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; his precious daughter, Rashelle De'Nene Goins; granddaughter, Robyn Rashelle Goins; brother, Ronny Goins; and nephew, Ricky Goins.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Goins of Livingston; son, Shaun Goins and wife, Brandi of Nogalus Prairie; son, Shannon Goins and wife, Judy of Livingston; twin brother, Rodger Goins and wife, Brenda of Hudson; brother, Ruddy Goins and wife, Jeanette of Grosebeck; sister-in-law, Leslie Goins of League City; and grandchildren, Andrew, Taylor, Jayden, Brooklyn, Brayden, and Braylee Ann; along with numerous nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

You could ask different people that knew Rodney and you would get the same answer. He was a giver and he loved his family, but mostly he loved the Lord. In his final week when he spoke to someone he said, "I love you and I'll see you in heaven," - that is what he lived for.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to juvenile diabetes or Missions.
