Funeral services to celebrate the life of Roland Hunter Spivey, 92, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Pine Forest Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Sean Ferry officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m., in the Calvary Hill Cemetery in Spring, Texas. Visitation will held Thursday, November 9, 2023, from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m., at the Pine Forest Baptist Church.

Mr. Spivey was born July 30, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas and passed away November 5, 2023 in Kingwood, Texas.  Roland was an active and devoted deacon at Pine Forest Baptist Church for 30 years. He enjoyed the outdoors and had a passion for hunting and fishing. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Melba (Brown) Spivey; son, Jeffrey Spivey; and parents, Floyd and Carrie (McGee) Spivey.

Mr. Spivey is survived by his daughter, Sheri Spivey of Houston, Texas; and granddaughter, Sara Wilson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Pine Forest Baptist Church Building Fund in honor of Roland's memory.
