Ron Loftin

Visitation for Ronald ""Ron"" Morgan Loftin age 68 of Conroe, Texas will be held at Cochran Funeral Home at 406 Yaupon Ave. Livingston, TX on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 2 to 4pm. Memorial Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church at 2727 N. Loop 336 W. Conroe, TX with Rev. John Singleton officiating at 3 pm Wednesday, February 16, 2011.

He was born December 18, 1942 in Shepherd, Texas the son of Perry Morgan Loftin and Ruby ""Loette"" McAdams Loftin and passed away February 9, 2011 in Conroe, Texas. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends after a year long battle with brain cancer. He is preceded in death by his father Perry Morgan Loftin and brother Curtis D. Loftin.

Ronnie, to his friends, and Pop-Pop to his beloved grandchildren is survived by his loving and devoted mother Ruby ""Loette"" McAdams Loftin, of Livingston; his loving and faithful wife of 37 years, Julie of Conroe; his beloved and only son Curtis Morgan Loftin and wife Rene'' along with their children Sara Morgan and Morgan Scott Loftin of Crabbs Prairie, Texas. His niece Carol Loftin Cromie & husband Mike, of Santa Fe, Texas, and their children Jake and Abbey Johnson. Niece Shannon Loftin Couch & husband Jimmie, also of Santa Fe, Texas.

Ron Loftin graduated from Livingston High School in 1961. He joined the U.S. Air Force and as a member of the 6987th he served a tour in Taiwan. After serving his country with honor he graduated from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminal Justice. He spent his entire professional career as a special agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and U. S. Customs. He retired and found joy in spending his time ranching, woodworking, hunting, fishing and spending time with his beloved family.

Ron, Dad, Pop-Pop, Uncle Ronnie - we love you and miss you and look forward to the day we all meet again!
