Stephenson, Jr. and wife Trisha, Kim Keefer and husband Ray, Glenda Martin and husband Dale, and Kelly Stephenson. He also has 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, he worked at station KRLD while attending Southern Methodist University. He eventually transferred to the University of Houston where he graduated with a degree in Engineering. He worked for several petroleum companies in the Houston and Louisiana area. He retired from Petro United in 1999.

Ron loved to travel and has been to many different countries. By far though, his favorite way to travel was on cruise ships. He has been cruising since 1980 and was delighted to tell you stories of every port he had visited.

In Houston, he was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church for 40+ years. When he and his wife moved to Onalaska in 1995 he was instrumental in funding and building the Lake Livingston Lutheran Church. He then became a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Livingston, where he oversaw construction of their Fellowship Hall. He was an active Elder at First Presbyterian at the time of his death.

Ron was very involved in his community. He served as Vice President of the Polk County Fresh Water Supply District #2, was a past president of the local AARP and was an annual participant of the Relay For Life.

He was loved by so many, and will be missed by everyone who knew him.
