Rosie Vergara Abate, 82, was born May 21, 1940 in Corpus Christi, Texas, to parents, Quirino H. and Delfina (Hearn) Vergara, and passed away October 21, 2022 in Livingston, Texas. Mrs. Abate attended, and graduated from, Roy Miller High School from 1956 to 1960. She is preceded by her parents.

Rosie is survived by her loving husband, Robert J. Abate of Livingston, Texas; sister, Katy Wells of Pasadena, Texas; brothers Robert Vergara and wife Sara and Adolph Vergara and wife Cipriana, all of Corpus Christi, Texas; sister, Selma Veiegos of San Antonio, Texas; brothers, Joe Vergara of Pasadena, Texas, and Rudy Vergara of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Dora V. Lemon of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Roy Vergara of Houston, Texas; sister, Ema (Bondie) Jones and husband Anthony of Palm Beach, Florida; along with numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Java Coffee Shop, located at 602 S. Washington, Livingston, Texas. The service will be officiated by Robert J. Abate and Michael Forbes. Friends, neighbors and all that knew her are invited to attend!

Rosie, you were the sweetest rose in our lives. Your aroma of Christ will live in the sweetest memories of our hearts. I love you.
