Roy Lawrence Butler

Funeral services for Roy Lawrence Butler, 72, of Dayton, Texas will be held Friday, November 6, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Jeff Day officiating. Interment will follow at the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 9:00-10:00 a.m., at the funeral home.

Roy was born November 4, 1953, in Springhill, Louisiana and passed away October 30, 2026, in Dayton, Texas, at the age of 72.

Roy proudly served in the United States Navy. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.

Roy is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Butler; children, Jill, Jennifer and Roy; stepchildren, John and Robert and Roberts wife Marisa; seven grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.

Roy was preceded in death by his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Butler; and stepdaughter, Deborah.

Roy will be remembered for his love of the outdoors.
