Obituary
Ruby M. Blackburn, 87, of Rye passed away Tuesday July 28, 2009 in Livingston. Graveside services were Friday July 31, 2009 at 10:00AM in the Concord Cemetery in Liberty County, with Rev. Woody Sonnier officiating.
Ruby was born November 17, 1921 in El Dorado, Arkansas to parents Chester Claude Doss and Fannie Ellen Hooks Doss. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 54 years James F. Blackburn.
She is survived by her husbands three sons James F. Blackburn Jr. of New Albany, MS., Donald P. Blackburn of De Quincy, La., and Charles M. Blackburn of De Quincy, La.,and her brother Marcel Doss and wife Gloria of Shepherd.
