Funeral services for Ruby Best Maxey, 82, of Corrigan, Texas, will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas with Rev. Lesly Wilkinson and Rev. Phil Corbett officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, March 9, 2018, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mrs. Maxey was born October 24, 1935 in Groveton, Texas to parents, James Clifton Best and Lena Lee (Mills) Best and passed away March 7, 2018 in Lufkin, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Maxey; sisters, Ruth Fletcher, Martha Huggins, and Bill Hutsen; and granddaughter, Tamara Eaton.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Jack and Tammy Maxey of Corrigan, Texas; son, Larry Maxey of Corrigan, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Arthur Eaton of Corrigan, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, James and Jolene Best of Plantersville, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Willie and Bobby Getschmann of Magnolia, Texas; brother-in-law, George Fletcher of Huffman, Texas; grandchildren, Amanda and Jason Watson, April and Cody Baker, Will and Whitney Maxey, Blake Vasut, Stacey and Jessie Platt, and Bo and Ashtin Eaton; great-grandchildren, Lexi, Jack, Lillie Grace, Hadley and Teagan, Addi and Levi, and Bradley and Kloey; and special friends, Debbie Mullikan and Margie Burnett; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
