Funeral services for Rudolph LaWayne Barnes, 94, of Conroe, Texas, will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas.  Military Honors will be provided by the VFW Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas.  Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. until the service begins, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas.

Mr. Barnes was born September 14, 1925 in Wolfe City, Texas to parents, Clifford Barnes and Lerline (Ferguson) Barnes, and passed away May 21, 2020 in Conroe, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tony Barnes, sister, Sandra Barnes. Mr. Barnes proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.

Rudolph is survived by his wife, Ima (Loper) Barnes of Conroe, Texas; son, Terry Barnes of Houston, Texas; daughters, Jodie Marlow of The Woodlands, Texas, Donna Reeves and son-on-law, Jim of Huntsville, Texas, Mary Stash and son-in-law, Jerome of Onalaska, Texas, Becky Lindley of Onalaska, Texas; son, Tommy Sheffield and daughter-in-law, Tanya of Onalaska, Texas; numerous grandchildren; 9 surviving brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
