Graveside services for Russell Loring Byrd, 79, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cedar Creek Cemetery in Hempstead, Texas with Bro. Steve Waldrep officiating.

Mr. Byrd was born July 31, 1941 in Hempstead, Texas to parents, James Ambert Byrd Sr. and Velma Lucille (Guthrie) Byrd, and passed away February 19, 2021 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dorothy Elizabeth Byrd; son, Jesse James Byrd; brothers, James Ambert Byrd Jr., Robert Byrd, Leroy Byrd, John Louis Byrd, and Jay Ray Byrd; sisters, Lisa Annette Byrd, Delores Byrd, Erna Bell Byrd, and Joyce Ann Hughes.

He is survived his son, Russell Byrd Jr. and Lea of Willis, Texas; son, James Allen Byrd Sr. of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Clara West and Pat of Livingston, Texas; son, Roy Glen Byrd of Lufkin, Texas; daughter, Joyce Marie Parish of Onalaska, Texas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, Glen Byrd and Linda of Cut and Shoot, Texas; sister, Bonnie Ruth Hensley and Gerald of Huntsville, Texas; sister, Ima Fay Roberts of Willis, Texas; and sister, Velma Annie Synder of Cabot, Arkansas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
