Funeral services for Ruth Nollene Marsh, 65, of Crosby, Texas, will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Pine Ridge Cemetery in the Hortense Community, Texas. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service.

Ruth Nollene Marsh was born August 11, 1951, passed from this life on September 20, 2016 at the age of 65. She is the oldest of five girls born to Eddie and Alma Marsh. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Manton Eddie Marsh Jr. and Ruth McCormick Marsh, and Noll Hickman and Rreather Kelley Hickman; father, Manton Eddie Marsh Jr.; nephews, James Ryan Roberts and Daniel Joseph Thagard; and brother-in-law, Bill David Thagard.

She is survived by her mother, Alma Oleather Hickman Marsh; sisters, Peggy Yvonne Marsh Mooring, Virginia Ann Marsh Thagard, Eddie Oleather Marsh, and Martha Elaine Marsh Roberts; nieces, Veronica Rose Thagard Bush and husband, Larry, Shannon Patricia Marsh Cain and husband, Josh, and Megan Michelle Roberts; nephews, Jason Noll Thagard and wife, Robin, Matthew David Thagard, Clinton Warren Thagard and wife, Christin; four grand-nieces; seven grand-nephews; best friend, Edie Cook-Jeanes; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Nollene was born in Livingston, Texas and loved Polk County; it was home because her beloved grandparents lived there. The family moved to Cleveland, Texas, from there they moved to Port Houston and finally settled in Sheldon, where she continued her education graduating from C.E. King High School in 1969. She attended Masey Business College and got a degree in Business. In 1981, she opened up Crosby Nursery and assisted her father in starting up the Crosby Grass Farm. In 1999, she became owner and operator of the farm and closed the nursery. She was loved and will be missed.
