Graveside services for Ruth Evans Wisenbaker, age 82 of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, (formally of Livingston, Texas), was held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2012, at Midway Cemetery in Polk County, Texas. Bro. Robert Smith will conduct the service.
Ruth was born on October 30, 1929, in Neches, Texas, to parents Thomas R. Evans and Sudie L. Mitchell Evans. She graduated from Livingston High School. Ruth passed away on September 12, 2012, in Calhoun Falls, South Carolina.
Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Sudie Evans; brother, William Evans; sisters, Mabel Evans and Sudie Speer; and granddaughters, Christie Dobbs and Jessica Plagens. She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Linda and Sidney Yarborough of Hayden, Idaho, and Sharon and Mark Plagens of Bedias, Texas; three grandsons and two granddaughters-in-law, William and Gina Dobbs of Picayune, Mississippi, Sgt. Benjamin Gilmore of Ft. Polk, Louisiana, Joseph and Karyn Plagens of Trophy Club, Texas; eight great grandchildren, Stephen, Samantha, Mark, Tyler, Lillian, Ethan, Noah and Jordan; brother & sister-in-law, Ray and Wathine Evans; sister, Clara Compton of Livingston; and numerous nieces and nephews.
