Funeral services for Sam Ellis Davis age 82 of Livingston will be held Sunday July 11, 2010 at 1:30 at the Providence Church #1 in Leggett, Texas with Rev. Ronnie Coleman officiating with interment to follow in the New Winsley Cemetery in Leggett. Military Honors provided by VFW Post #8568 of Livingston.

He was born May 5, 1928 in Leggett, Texas the son of Sam F. Davis and Tempie Jefferson Davis and passed away July 8, 2010 in Livingston, Texas.

He is survived by Alice Jackson, sister of Nacogdoches, Texas, Lee Etta Flenory, sister of Pt. Arthur, Texas, Elizabeth Crawford, sister of Houston, Texas, Norvie Jessie, sister of Leggett, Dorothy White, sister of Silsbee, Texas and Mary Joyce Davis of Leggett, Texas. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.
